Malhar 2014 was held at CKT College, Panvel, from 19th to 26th January, 2014. The festival, which aims at encouraging talent in art, sports and other events, was inaugurated by Shri Narayan Rane, Minister for Industry, Port and Employment in Maharashtra State.

It seems quite unbelievable to say that youth are not interested in politics. Maharashtra elections 2014 might show a different trend. A thing of the past, the youth are now actively taking part in the country’s affairs and are updated with the happenings across the country. Though the entry of young Indian politicians is very small in numbers, it is significantly rising.

If you notice around the city of Mumbai, there’s a wave of developments happening. Most particularly in the satellite city of Navi Mumbai. You could say our politicians are realising the need, or perhaps it’s due to a new factor. Co-incidentally the emergence of new politicians is also taking shape in the state of Maharashtra. And the effect of young Indian politicians on the city developments cannot be ignored. The young political leaders of India understand the need and aspirations of the city and proper infrastructure is one of the many.
